Emotional HealthPropertyModification

When a divorce drags on, the exhaustion can get so heavy that signing anything just to make it stop starts to feel like relief. This "settlement fatigue" is one of the most common regrets people describe afterward. The trap is that some terms are effectively permanent: once property is divided in the decree, you generally can't reopen it later, even though child support, maintenance, and parenting can sometimes be modified down the road. Rushing to sign before you understand what you're giving up, or before disclosures have confirmed the full financial picture, is how people end up shortchanged for years.
