Hidden AssetsDisclosures

Hiding money or property during a Colorado divorce is both wrong and a terrible bet. You sign your Sworn Financial Statement under oath, Rule 16.2 imposes a duty of full and honest disclosure, and discovery (subpoenas to banks and employers, forensic accountants, depositions) is built to find what you conceal. If you're caught, the consequences are severe: the court can sanction you, award fees to the other side, hand the hidden asset to your spouse, and even reopen and set aside a finished decree years later for non-disclosure. Even cash businesses and crypto leave trails. The smart move is full, accurate disclosure, which keeps you safe and lets you credibly demand the same honesty from your spouse.
