ParentingCo-Parenting
Every Colorado case involving children requires a parenting plan (a written document, made part of the decree, that spells out the arrangement in detail). It covers the regular schedule of parenting time, holidays, school breaks, and summers; how decisions get made and who has decision-making authority over which areas; transportation and exchange logistics; and how the parents will handle disputes or changes. Colorado courts want specificity. A detailed, realistic plan that anticipates holidays, birthdays, travel, and what happens when someone runs late is one of the best investments you can make in a lower-conflict future.
