Process
During Divorce
Colorado
A Colorado dissolution involves a recognizable set of forms, labeled "JDF." The essentials usually include: the Petition for Dissolution of Marriage (JDF 1011) and a Case Information Sheet (JDF 1000); a Summons (JDF 1012) if you're serving your spouse; the Sworn Financial Statement (JDF 1111) and a certificate confirming you exchanged mandatory disclosures (JDF 1104); and, if uncontested, a Separation Agreement laying out your property division (JDF 1115). If you have minor children, add a Parenting Plan (JDF 1113) and a child support worksheet, plus the parenting-class certificate. The case ends with a Decree of Dissolution (JDF 1116). The exact packet differs depending on whether you have children and whether the case is agreed. All of these are free to download from the Colorado Judicial Branch.
