PrenupProperty
Gather and safeguard the documents that are difficult to replace: passports (yours and the kids'), birth certificates, Social Security cards, your marriage certificate, immigration paperwork, and any prenuptial or postnuptial agreement. Photograph valuables (jewelry, art, collectibles, furniture) so there's a record of what existed and its condition before anyone starts moving things around. If you can't locate your marriage certificate, you can order a copy from the county clerk where you married or from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.
